1662 Records of Saddleworth Chapelry 1613-1800 on CD - £5.00 (£4.35 ex-VAT), 100gm
MLFHS have reproduced, the two volumes Registers of Saddleworth Chapelry 1633-1751 [551 pages] and 1751-1800 [675 pages] in their original format. They were originally edited in the 1890s by John Radcliffe. The books are indexed, by name and location, and contain full transcriptions of each register entry, in the original spelling, as well as Radcliffe's notes about many people mentioned. Also included in the text are parish histories, parish chest records, wills, family histories and a number of illustrations. Saddleworth Banns, which point to intended marriages at other churches, also appear. The transcripts also include early records for a number of small chapels of ease: St. Anne, Lydgate, c. 1788-1802, b. 1788-1791; Dobcross, c. 1787-1790, b. 1787-1790; Friarmere Chapel, c. 1767-1771, b. 1767-1771 The data is presented as an Adobe Acrobat file. A self-extracting copy of Acrobat Reader 8 is included on the CD and can be installed, if required, once the program has been started.
1673 Manchester Collegiate Church Burials 1573-1868 - £10.00 (£8.70 ex-VAT), 90gm
Approaching 150,000 people were buried in the Old Churchyard and the three “overspill” burial grounds at Apple Market, Angel Meadow and Walkers Croft. This CDROM contains details of all burials recorded in the burial registers of Manchester Collegiate Church (Cathedral) arranged in order of surname/forename/date of burial and contains all of the information contained in the original register entries.

1603 The Deserter Index CDROM - £5.00 (£4.35 ex-VAT), 90gm
Details of soldiers deserting from British regiments including uunits of the Honourable East India Company were published in the Police Gazette. This index is based on lists published between 1828 and 1840. Lists over 17,000 soldiers born in England, Wales and Overseas, 5000 in Scotland and 12,000 in Ireland. The same data as is contained on fiche 1059, 1060 & 1061 but on a single CD.
1604 Manchester City Battalions 1 - Book of Honour - £5.00 (£4.35 ex-VAT), 90gm
Part 1 of the Manchester City Battalions Book of Honour published in 1916. A platoon-by-platoon listing of the officers and men of the 16th -23rd (City) battalions. Each list is accompanied by a platoon photograph though sadly, individual men are not identified in the photographs. Includes full name index.
1605 Manchester Crematorium Memorial Inscriptions 1892-c1940 - £5.00 (£4.35 ex-VAT), 80gm
Opened in 1892, Manchester Crematorium was the second to open in England. Virtually all official records of persons cremated were lost in the 'Christmas Blitz' of 1940. This CD contains transcripts of 5979 memorials, recording 8555 cremations, 5669 dating from before 1941. A comprehensive name index records 9107 names which appear on the memorials.

An index to the admissions of over 22,000 men and women from the opening of the Asylum to the end of March 1901. Shows details of name, age & birthplace for each patient, with dates of admission and discharge. For some patients additional information may be included. Because the census returns for the Asylum list only patients' initials, this register is invaluable as a means of identifying patients in the census returns.

Casey's Charity was established by the will of John Casey, an Irish linen merchant who lived for many years in Manchester. On his death in September 1792 he left £540, the interest from which was to be applied to the relief of the poor Catholics of Manchester. This CD is an indexed transcript for 1794-1847 with a forename and surname index of 13,000 names.

1659 Oldham Absent Voters List 1918 - £5.00, 100gm
The disruption to society caused by the Great War resulted in considerable numbers of eligible voters being absent from their homes in the run up to the 1918 General Election. The absent voter list for the Borough of Oldham contains 14,514 names and against each, the person’s normal address and the electoral ward and district within which they were registered to vote.

Baptisms at St. Edmund’s RC Church, Miles Platting 1877-1904 on CDROM. Transcribed by members of the Irish Ancestry Branch of the M&LFHS. The Roman Catholic Church of St. Edmunds was founded in 1871 as a chapel-of-ease for St. Patrick’s Church in Livesey Street, Manchester, to accommodate the rapidly growing congregation as the city increased in size. An index to the 32,109 persons named in 7,497 register entries complete with images of the baptism registers. The data is presented as an Adobe Acrobat file. 1661 St. Patrick’s (RC) Burials - £7.50 (£6.52 ex-VAT), 90gm
Burials at St. Patrick’s Church, Livesey St., Manchester, 1832-1858 on CDROM. Published by the Catholic FHS. The plot on which St. Patrick’s Chapel was established in 1832 was big enough to include a sizeable graveyard. It soon became the focal point for the burial of Catholics over much of North Manchester, even as far afield as Openshaw.The index is from May 1832 to June 1858, when burials ceased. The entries total 27,094. As well as the name of the deceased and the date of burial, the cause of death (usually in colloquial, not medical language) and address are given in many entries. The data is presented as an Adobe Acrobat file. Self-extracting copies of Acrobat Reader 5.0 (for Windows 98) and Acrobat 7.0 (for Windows XP) are included on the CD and can be installed, if required, once the program has been started

Published as a book c1875, now transcribed onto CDROM. Covers the municipal, ecclesiastical, biographical, commercial and statistical history of Manchester. It includes events in the history of the city from its founding to the time of publication. The text on this CD is fully searchable.
1672 Directory of Irish-born People in Manchester in 1861 - £5.00 (£4.35 ex-VAT), 90gm
This second issue of extracts from the 1861 census includes all the names of Irish-born people published on Issue 1 plus nearly 20,000 more (43,500 in all) new references. Full details are given for each person listed. Mucht of the 1851 census for Manchester, Salford and the surrounding area was damaged by water while in storage making it impossible to film the returns which are also too fragile for publ;ic use. MLFHS have over several years worked at The National Archives to transcribe these returns. Each CD contains a full transcript of the unfilmed portion of the area described. Ultraviolet lighting has been used to maximise readability. Each CD contains surname/forename and street indexes. All are in Adobe Acobat format with a copy of Acrobat reader supplied on each CD. Note some of these CDs contain more data than the earlier microfiche publications.
