Offline Ordering

Whilst online shopping is now well established and payment is secure, we appreciate that there are still people who are not 100% happy with ordering from online shops and so we are very happy to receive orders either by telephone or by post. If you live in or near Manchester, you can even visit our bookshop (see hours below) and shop in person. We will be very happy to see you.

Ordering by Post

To obtain item codes and prices, please go to the Online Shop, place the required items in your shopping cart then click to go to the checkout. You will be asked to register with the site but no financial details will be asked of you. Registering will enable the system to calculate the correct postage for your order and to add value added tax where appropriate (please note that the prices in the online shop DO NOT include VAT). There is no need to proceed to the payment stage. Complete your order form and mail it to us either with a cheque or postal order or with details of your credit/debit card.

You can also fax your order (credit/debit card payment only) to 0161 237 3812 (+44 161 237 3812 from overseas).

Ordering by telephone
Telephone orders may usually be placed during our bookshop opening hours by calling 0161 236 9750 (+44 161 236 9750 from overseas). Payment by credit/debit card will be accepted.

The bookshop at Clayton House  is open to callers during the same opening hours as the library, that is to say:

If you can get to the bookshop we will be pleased to see you. Clayton House is opposite Piccadilly Gardens and close to the junction with Newton Street in offices over the Subway Sandwich store.
