The Society publishes a wide range of booklets and microfiche which relate mostly to local records and sources. Much of this material is the result of projects undertaken by society members. This material is constantly being added to and for the most recent publications it is helpful to visit the society's web page at www.mlfhs.org.uk New publications are also listed in the first issue of the Manchester Genealogist to be published following their publication.

These indexes list surnames appearing in the 1851 census returns for the areas described alongside the folio numbers upon which they appear. Item Code 1199 is an index to townships listing the census index volumes in which they appear.
