MANCHESTER & LANCASHIRE

FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY

Meetings Programme 2008

From the beginning of 2004, the society adopted a new format with quarterly full-day meetings which include a variety of discussions, talks and displays focusing on a particular family history topic in addition to a guest speaker. Each person attending a meeting will usually receive a free booklet related to the topic of the day.

All of the following meetings will be held at Clayton House and will begin at 10.30am. The afternoon talk, usually at 1.30pm, will be followed by tea and biscuits. Please see the pages for each of the Society's Branches for details of Branch meetings.

There is no charge but a free ticket system is necessary to ensure we are able to accommodate the number of members who wish to attend. Bookings will not be accepted until the date announced in the preceding issue of the Manchester Genealogist to try to ensure fair access to the limited number of places available.

Full details of the programmes for the later meetings will be added later in the year.
