Diary of Events 2009

The Society expects to attend the following events during 2009. Dates for some of these events have yet to be announced and will be inserted once available. We will look forward to meeting any members able to attend events where we have a stand. Be sure to call by to say hello.

Saturday 23rd February 2009 FHS of Cheshire Ninth Annual Family History Day 10am till 4pm, Memorial Hall, Chester Way, Northwich. The Anglo-Scottish Branch will be represented. Click here for more details.

Saturday 21st March 2009 The Society will have a stand at Manchester Histories Festival at Manchester Town Hall. Click here for more details. Manchester Histories Festival is a one-day spectacular celebrating the history of our vibrant city. Discover exhibits, talks, films, tours and music, all inspired by the stories of Manchester's incredible past.

Saturday 18th April 2009 North West Group Of Family History Societies. 32nd Annual Conference : “The Family At War” Hosted by North Cheshire Family History Society at Woodford Community Centre Woodford, Cheshire. Click Here for more details.

Saturday, 25 April 2009 Society Open Day at Clayton House. This is an opportunity for non-members to see what the Society has to offer. It is NOT a member research day, but volunteers to assist with the event will be welcomed. Please contact the General Secretary.

Sunday, 3 May 2009 The Family History Event 10am to 5pm in Exhibition Hall 2 at the Barbican Centre, London. Click here for more details Tickets cost £10 at the door (£8 in advance) and there is a full program of lectures in streams targeted at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of knowledge. This is a non-profit making event sponsored by FindMyPast.

Saturday 25th July 2009 Bucks FHS will be holding its Open Day 10am to 4pm, at the Grange School, Wendover Way, Aylesbury HP21 7NH (south east of the town between A413 and A41). There will be many attractions for Bucks researchers including full Bucks FHS library and databases, guest societies and commercial suppliers. Free admission and free car parking at the school. Sat 24 October 2009 North West Group of Family History Societies' Family History Day Fair will be held at St. George's Hall, Liverpool, 10am to 4pm. This is the big event for the North West and not to be missed. Click here for more details.

Sat 31 Oct 2009 West Surrey FHS Open day from 10:00am to 4:30pm at Woking Leisure Centre, Kingfield Road, Woking, Surrey. Click here for more details
